Secure Mass Transit

As shown by the attacks in Madrid and London, terrorists are active and have the ability to attack mass transit systems with many casualties. But the US is still not funding new security for the mass transit system. Over 16 times as many people ride the mass transit systems than the airlines daily, but the US government still is concentrating its efforts on other terrorist prevention and not on securing the mass transit systems. Even Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said that the US shall concentrate on the big terrorist threats, and not on the smaller things. One of the small areas is mass transit systems. The government must do more to secure our mass transit systems.
