Bush taking responsibility

According to a Reuters article, President Bush said, "To the extent that the federal government didn't fully do its job right, I take responsibility." This is the first time that Bush has personally taken responsibility for the failure of the federal government in the recent Hurricane aftermath. In the most recent (Sept. 8-11) Gallup Poll President Bush's approval stands at 46% and disapproval is at 51%. This is up from only 40% approval on a Gallup Poll in Aug, held between the 22nd and the 25th. But 4 years after 9/11 and billions spent on security and disaster assistance, this country is seen by many as no better off than 4 years ago. And in part, people that think that may be somewhat right. With is recent failure on ALL levels of the government, it shows a dire weakness in our country.
