California Senate approves gay marriage bill
According to the Washington Post, a bill to legalize gay marriage in California has been approved by the California Senate by a vote of 21-15. Now the bill goes to the California Assembly, who recently rejected similar legislation in June, but only small margin. And Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has not stated if he would sign or veto such a bill if it passes the Assembly. This is seen as a major victory from gay rights.
