Lewis "Scooter" Libby

Lewis "Scooter" Libby, according to CNN, has officially been indicted in the CIA leak case by special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald.

According to the CNN article, "Fitzgerald said he will be keeping the investigation 'open to consider other matters.' But, he said, 'the substantial bulk of the work in this investigation is concluded.'"

Most people believe that Rove will not be indicted but Fitzgeald could always bring charges against Rove. But that outcome is very unlikely as Libby was indicted but not Rove.

In other news, President Bush has still been pushing Iraq and the connection to the war on terror. The president said in his weekly radio address that, "The best way to honor the sacrifice of our fallen troops is to complete the mission and win the war on terror." But the war on terror was not in Iraq and there was NO connection to the war on terror until we went into Iraq and made a political vacuum for terrorists to come in. We must either do more to secure Iraq in giving control to Iraq forces or get out.

The US states that over 70,000 Iraqi troops have been trained but NOT ONE has off set the number of US troops there. With 70,000 troops the Iraq government should be to be able to support it self, if only a little. But even with 70,000 trained, not one American has come home more than that have gone there. Our numbers have not decreased, only increased. The numbers do not add up.
