Iraq Costs High
To date the estimated cost of the Iraq war is in the billions of dollars. With the unstable economy, why are we not giving that money to our economy instead of Halliburton and spending it in places that the average American will never get it?!?! The economy would be in a lot better shape with that money spent in other ways or not spent at all. That would be billions of dollars less that we would be increasing our national debt by. Currently the interest on the national debt is the SECOND BIGGEST expense of the US government. This trend of spending more then we have must stop. And the US government can take the first steps to make that happen. Even if everyone conserves money, it is up to the government to take action on the US national debt. Our elected officials should balance the budget. IT NEEDS TO BE DONE NOW. Not in a few years, for that might be trillions of dollars later. The time to reduce our national debt is now and we must act.
