In the most recent FOX/Opinion Dynamics poll (4/18-4/19), it put Mr. Bush at 33% approval vs. 57% disapproval rate. This low appproval number comes at a time when President Bush has started to shake-up his cabinent after much pressure from many policy makers.
Current changes to his cabinent include:
- Bush Chief of Staff Andrew Card announced his resignation
- Joshua Bolten is the new Bush Chief of Staff
- Ambassador Rob Portman new Office of Management and Budget director, replacing Joshua Bolten
- Ambassador Rob Portman will be replaced by Ambassador Susan C. Schwab as U.S. trade representative
- White House press secretary Scott McClellan announced his resignation
- Karl Rove, deputy chief of staff for policy, announced his resignation
- Joel D. Kaplan is the new deputy chief of staff for policy
