Prop 1 PASSED by a vote of 2,895,790 (81%) to 674,517 (19%)
Prop 2 PASSED by a vote of 2,131,488 (58%) to 1,539,431 (42%)
Prop 3 FAILED by a vote of 1,131,831 (31%) to 2,514,518 (69%)
Prop 4 PASSED by a vote of 2,896,521 (80%) to 716,738 (20%)
Prop 5 FAILED by a vote of 1,355,700 (38%) to 2,245,597 (62%)
Governor Jennifer Granholm (D) beat challenger Dick DeVos (R) by a vote of 2,124,356 (55%) to 1,601,907 (42%)
Other challengers to Governor Granholm were Gregory Creswell (LIB) with 23,38 votes, Douglas Campbell (G) with 19,902 votes and Bhagwan Dashairya (UST) with 7,026 votes.
Senator Debbie Stabenow (D) beat challenger Michael Bouchard (R) by a vote of 2,133,162 (56%) to 1,555,726 (41%)
Other challengers to Senator Stabenow were Leonard Schwartz (LIB) with 26,919 votes, David Sole (G) with 23,793 votes and Dennis FitzSimons (UST) with 18,203 votes.
US House of Representatives 7th District MI elected Tim Walberg (R) over Sharon Renier (D) by a vote of 122,640 (50%) to 112,623 (46%)
Other candidates were Robert Hutchinson (LIB) with 3,787 votes and David Horn (UST) with 3,664 votes.
Nationally the Democrats have taken control of the US House of Representatives and are in a neck-and-neck race for the Senate. Currently two states still do not have a clear winner. With both parties having 49 Senators elected, these last two seats are “make or break” for the Senate and who will have control.
