Merry Christmas (it's back)

But I really never even knew it was gone. Just because you don’t hear “Merry Christmas” at the checkout line does it matter?!?! It is not like you will forever remember that cashier at the checkout line for your entire life (no offense meant to anyone who works as a cashier)

Wal-Mart will put "Christmas" back into the holidays this year, the retailer plans to announce Thursday.

A year after religious and other groups boycotted retailers, including Wal-Mart (WMT), for downplaying Christmas, the world's largest retail chain will have an in-your-face Christmas theme this year.

Just for my own thoughts; WHO CARES!?!? Christian groups have raised hell (pardon the pun) about saying "Happy Holidays" or "Merry Christmas". But Christmas is not the only holiday around the 25th of that month. Ever heard about New Year's!??! Maybe not, but really when I go to a store, I don't care if they say "Happy Christmas" or "Merry Holidays" or whatever they want to say. I am a Christian (ELCA Lutheran) and I am a very active Christian at that. But I don't think that if we say something other then "Merry Christmas" it's the end of the world. If you want to say "Merry Christmas" than say it...Just let others say what they want (just so it is not to the point of being disrespectful).
