Head line from Washington Post article. If Bush indeed chooses a Mainstream and "likeable" nominee, it might help him. If Bush starts getting Democratic support for anything that he can do in the senate, than he might start looking like more of a uniter than he has in the past. Not to mention that it might be one thing in the Senate that will go without major opposition if Bush does decide to go with a mainstream moderate and not a hard line consertitive.
