DeLay seeks new judge

Tom DeLay (right) has been accused of illegally using corporate donations in his election fund. He has been booked and released on $10000 bond. But now, in what may be a stall tactic or a way to get a more pro-DeLay standing judge, Mr. DeLay's lawyers have asked for a new judge in the case. Defense lawyer Dick DeGuerin said that Judge Bob Perkins "had donated money to MoveOn.org, a liberal organization that he said has been 'selling T-shirts with Mr. DeLay's mug shot on it.'" (CNN) The judge said that he dominated to the fund pre-election, when they supported Kerry, and MoveOn.org has released a statement saying they have never sold any such t-shirt "and issued a statement that said, 'DeGuerin has either bad information or lied in court.'"(CNN)
