It's Not That Much Spying

President Bush said, "The NSA program is one that listens to a few numbers." Bush has also defended the NSA Spying program saying that it is within his wartime powers and is needed to find and intercept terrorists.

Bush has also said that "...the enemy is calling somebody and we want to know who they're calling and why."

Than he can get a search warrant. Of the 19,000 wiretaps approved by the secret FISA courts only FIVE were denied. That is a rubber stamp for all efforts that they want to do. Bush says that he needs the ability to quickly intercept the information but he can still get the warrant AFTER the actual wiretap and still have it legal. If that is not enough time, than only illegal time is good enough for him.

The only reason that Bush does not want the warrants is that it will leave a paper trail. But even that paper trail is classified information that will not be released. The only reason for not using the wiretaps, which can be acquired after the actual tap, is that it is overly illegal.
