According to CNN.com, "Rep. Heather Wilson, R-New Mexico, chairwoman of the House Subcommittee on Technical and Tactical Intelligence, says the time has come for a "complete review" of President Bush's eavesdropping program."
The United States government under the current administration has thus far failed to follow the law. This is an outrage. I believe that this should not be a partisan issue. This is about the public good. What is best for the American people? Spying on Americans without a warrant is a clear violation of our civil liberties.
We must not be scared into giving up there civil liberties, or the terrorists have accomplished some of there goals. If we give up our rights voluntary, than the terrorists have won in part. President Bush, after 9/11, urged Americans to keep there same daily routines. We must also keep our rights and not let the terrorists take away either our daily life or natural rights.
The NSA has been criticized for the warrant less wiretaps and rightly so. We must keep our rights. I am glad that just because of partisanship Heather Wilson has not been pushed to defend the practice of this warrant less wiretapping. And she as actually pushed to look into the practices of the NSA and Bush's eavesdropping program.
