The host that they are looking for will anchor the news program for IWT News titled The Real News. The explination of this programming is as follows (also from the IWT News website):

The Real News will be the flagship show of the network. It will fearlessly investigate, report and debate stories that help us understand the critical issues of our time, refusing to blindly follow wire services or official press releases that attempt to set the news agenda. The Real News will give context to the big stories of the day and emphasize news other media ignore or suppress.

The Real News will be a wake-up call: It will impart a sense of urgency and engagement. It will unflinchingly confront those in power with tough questions and will not accept spin as response. We will report on what is wrong and bring to light potential solutions.

The Real News will combine entertainment with substance and humor with context and analysis. Being "worthy" is not enough. Smart, engaging storytelling and an unfettered willingness to confront reality will make our programming stand out.

Interactive News

Instead of simply pushing conventional analog TV content onto digital TV and the web, The Real News plans to take the news experience to a new level. Using new online and interactive TV features, we will reinvent the newscast by creating an "interactive news" experience that provides viewers with an unprecedented level of context, choice and involvement. Viewers will be able to pause the newscast, for example, and receive additional context and analysis. This format will offer a lively, engaging way to furnish viewers with the added background they want. It will also reach out to younger, web-savvy consumers who feel alienated by the conventional newscast and may lack historical perspective.
