Kathy Griffin Censored...It's Not Free Speech

As most people know by now, at the Daytime Emmys, Kathy Griffin was censored for comments she made. Why one might ask? Why would they cut it when other stations in response when explaining the censoring played the full clip? It is because they have the power. As such, with that power to put up what they want, when something is pushing the boundaries (like Sally Field at the Emmys as well) they can cut it out at there will. Although FOX is fully within there rights to cut and censor parts of speeches or events they air, FOX should NOT have censored Kathy Griffin or Sally Field. What harm was there?!?! Other stations played the clip afterward and no action has been taken against those stations. So as such, the only reason I can see that the censorship occurred is because someone at FOX felt uncomfortable and now it looks as if the only things that don't make the rich big wigs at FOX uncomfortable will be broadcast.

Bye Bye Free Speech!
