An e-mail sent out yesterday to Bill Richardson supporters reads as follows:
Dear [name],
Together, we made it.
This weekend was a little crazy here in Santa Fe. We're still catching our breath from our end-of-quarter fundraising push, which kept us all in the office all day Saturday and Sunday, working the phones and processing contributions.
But I wanted to take a quick minute to write and let you know that late Sunday evening, we beat our one week, $1 million dollar goal! We'll be reporting strong numbers to the FEC this week, which will position us well going into these last months.
We're not done yet. The last months of this year will be our most important quarter yet and we have some tough battles ahead of us. Now is when early primary voters actually begin tuning in, and when our strong end-the-war message and Bill's plan for a new energy revolution will sway minds. We're going to need your help to get our message out, to build our grassroots movement, and to help us raise the funds we need to cut through the media clutter.
But I'll email you about all that another day. Today is about saying "thank you." Governor Richardson and I are truly grateful to you for all that you have done for our common cause - and for all that you'll do over the coming months.
Sincerely,
Dave Contarino
Campaign Manager
P.S. If you haven't yet joined our campaign to push Congress to get all the troops out at http://www.getourtroopsout.com/ -- why not do it right now? We need your pushpin on our map!
