Funding in Public Schools and Lack of Adequate Programs

The fall recently in the US economy has hit everyone. And many things had to be cut in many different areas. And one area with heavy cuts is the public school systems. Recently many schools, states, and even the federal government has felt the "heat" from students, parents, and teachers about the many cuts. Many school systems have cut millions from there budget. For example, the Huston area school district cut over $100 million from it's budjet over the past five years. That is just ONE school system in ONE area. Many schools are already hurting from the No Child Left Behiend Act, and now the more general budget cuts are adding to the ever growing problem.
