No Raise in Taxes
But it will cost about $200 billion dollars rebuild the gulf coast. President Bush has said that to pay for the estimated $200 billion dollars in aid and other costs that will be covered by the Federal Government, he will not raise taxes. But than where is this money coming from? Most likely, the money will come from the federal deficit. We will just increase our national debt, which is already well over 7.91 trillion dollars as of September 15th, 2005. But President Bush has not said plans to do anything other than spend, spend, and spend. He has not, at least publicly, said or decided where this massive amount of money is coming from. This problem of our national debt will only increase with each dollar more that this government borrows. And thus far, increasing our national debt has not helped this economy, or this nation, in any way.
