It has been over a month without posting and I again am starting to post again.
Well here we go, more ranting...
One of the most public happenings in DC recently is the firings of federal prosecutors, which many claim is politically motivated, including the fired prosecutors and US Senators.
"I'm surprised that they're saying that there's no politics involved, and we're still 2½ weeks away from April Fool's Day," said Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-New Hampshire, chairman of the Senate panel. "How can they possibly stand there with a straight face and say that's not politics? Of course it's politics."
If this is found to be purely politically motivated the Attorney General Alberto Gonzales must resign. It is as simple as that. If something which is not political, the justice system, is influenced solely by politics the American people and governmental officials must insure that politics is purged from this process. Justice is justice no matter what political party you belong to.
Subpoenas are one way to get the wanted outcome. Under oath, they will have no choice but to tell the truth. And as seen with the Libby trial, if they do commit purgery, then they will face jail and fines.
This is one area that SHOULD NOT be political and it SHOULD be right and just.
